The Affiliate Program includes boards governing South Carolina's publicly supported educational institutions not designated as school districts, such as career and technology centers, special schools and county boards of education.

Affiliates receive:
- promotional materials of SCSBA's statewide training
- subscriptions of SCSBA publications, including the popular electronic news clipping service featuring education and political news stories in SC daily newspapers, electronic Focus      newsletter, electronic Legislative Update, and other special issue publications
- participation in SCSBA's Boardmanship Institute providing credits to board members attending statewide training
- service awards
- directory listing on SCSBA's website
- directory listing in the Annual Convention program
