The Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) conducts an annual Summer Conference at the Hyatt Regency/Savannah - 912.238.1234

Enter your email address above to register for the Summer Conference as well as the Workshop of your choice.  PLEASE NOTE:  THERE IS NO NEED TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL LUNCH OR BREAKFAST TICKETS UNLESS YOU ARE BRINGING A GUEST WITH YOU.  If you need to purchase additional tickets for breakfast or lunch, the fee is $40.00 per person per meal.

GSBA affords local school board members a great opportunity to fulfill their annual training requirements for the fiscal year in conjunction with the GSBA Summer Conference held in Savannah. This is a convenient way to obtain the necessary credit for annual training (see O.C.G.A 20-2-230)Three excellent programs are available for board members, superintendents and other educational professionals who represent local boards of education. Below is a brief description of each workshop with pricing. 

Pre-Conference Workshops - Times: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Communications Workshop  (June 6, 2019) $230.00 

Participants will receive 6 credit hours.  Lunch is included in the registration fee. 

Policy Workshop (June 6, 2019) - $230.00
Angela Palm, Director of Policy & Legislative Services and attorney Phil Hartley will provide the latest information on the happenings under the Gold Dome.  Participants will receive 6 credit hoursLunch is included in the registration fee. 


Best Practices in Local Governance (June 6, 2019) - $230.00

Participants will earn 6 credit hours.  Lunch is included in the registration fee. 

Support Staff Workshop (June 6, 2019) - $175.00

This workshop is specifically designed for central office support staff personnel.  Lunch is included in the registration fee. 
No credit is provided for this workshop.



GSBA Summer Conference - (June 7-8, 2019) - $350.00 - On May 18 the fee increases to - $420.00
Register to attend Georgia's premier professional development opportunity for educational leaders. Use this registration link if you are a school board member, superintendent or other school officials. The conference begins at 8:30 AM on Friday, June 7.

GSBA Delegate Assembly - The Annual Delegate Assembly is held on Friday, June 7 in the afternoon. Your system's  Delegate and Alternate Delegate should make every effort to be in attendance. At this session, the voting occurs on the legislative positions for GSBA for the coming legislative year. Delegates will register on Friday after lunch for this segment and obtain their voting devices at that time.
