This revamped workshop is being held in the Macon Centreplex adjacent to the Macon Marriott City Center Hotel.  Lodging has been set aside for GSBA attendees at the Macon Marriott. To make reservations, please contact the Macon Marriott direct at:  478.621.5300.

The registration fee is $220 per person.  Cancellations are accepted and refunded minus a $70.00 cancellation fee up to 5 business days from the workshop.  Cancellations made closer than 5 business days of the workshop will not receive a refund.  Substitutions may be made at any time.

Who Should Attend:  Board Members, Superintendents and staff involved in the budgeting process.

At the conclusion of the program, attendees will understand:
  • How to demystify school finances
  • How to explain the value of school taxes to taxpayers
  • Your role in managing and monitoring the budgeted and the actual financial results
  • How to think about tough financial decisions - impact on programs, personnel, discretionary, and recoverable.
