Do you want your school to become the best it can be for the sake of the students you serve? Dennis McIntee, our 2019 ASBA Annual Conference Keynote Speaker, is ready to help! McIntee, nationally recognized as “The Drama Free Guy,” is a gifted speaker, coach, author, who will speak about building a culture of trust.

McIntee will share how successful leaders and teams have learned strategies to draw out the best in people, while maximizing your team’s and your school’s performance. Attend this keynote to:

  • Understand why your team struggles;
  • Know how to overcome “excusitis” within your team;
  • Discover the secret to eliminating victim thinking, the formula that creates behavioral change, and secret coaching questions that cause people to take personal responsibility.

 

Conference Packages - NEW OPTIONS

Members may choose one of five conference packages.  Please review Wednesday Workshops to make your selection prior to registering.  All packages except New Board Member Boot Camp and All-Inclusive New Board Member Boot Camp require choosing the Wednesday Workshops you wish to attend.


1.  Wednesday Workshops & Events-WW (see Agenda At A Glance)

  • One full-day of training Wednesday, December 11
  • From 8:30-11 a.m., registered board members may choose one of four Wednesday Workshops to attend.
  • Immediately following the workshops, attendees will be treated to a buffet lunch in Salon B of the Marriott Ballroom and will have the opportunity to socialize with board colleagues and ASBA Commercial Affiliates, from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
  • From 1:00-3:30 p.m., Board members will choose one of four Wednesday Workshops to attend.
  • The registration fee is $175 per member through Nov. 27. After that date, the fee is $200.
  • Members can earn up to 5 hours of boardsmanship credit.


2.  Traditional Conference Package-TR 
(see Agenda At A Glance)

  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 – 1:00-3:30 choose one of four Wednesday Workshops
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 – continental breakfast, general session with Keynote Speaker Dennis McIntee, Awards Luncheon, refreshments in the Exhibit Hall, and all breakout sessions.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 – breakfast buffet, opening breakfast session, and general sessions with key government officials.
  • The registration fee is $295 per member through November 27. After that date, the fee is $320.
  • Members can earn up to 11.5 hours of boardsmanship credit.


3.  All-Inclusive Package-AI 
(see Agenda At A Glance)

  • THE NAME SAYS IT ALL!
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 – choose two of four Wednesday Workshops offerings (morning and afternoon sessions), includes a buffet lunch between sessions.
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 – continental breakfast, general session with Keynote Speaker Dennis McIntee, Awards Luncheon, refreshments in the Exhibit Hall, and all breakout sessions.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 – breakfast buffet, opening breakfast session, and general sessions with key government officials.
  • The registration is $395 per member through November 27. After that date, the fee is $420.
  • Members can earn up to 14 hours of boardsmanship credit.

 
4. 
New Board Member Boot Camp, located in Caraway I-III NBBC (downstairs in SHCC)

  • One full-day of training Wednesday, December 11 for NEW BOARD MEMBERS
  • From 8:30-11:45 a.m., registered new board members will attend the NBM Boot Camp Part I.
  • Immediately following Part I, boot camp attendees will be treated to a buffet lunch in Fulton, of the SHCC from 11:45 am-12:45 p.m.
  • NBM Boot Camp Part II will take place from 12:45-3 p.m.
  • The registration fee is $185 per member through Nov. 27. After that date, the fee is $210.
  • New board members can earn up to 6 hours of boardsmanship credit.


5.  All-Inclusive New Board Member Package NBAI

  • THE NAME SAYS IT ALL!
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 – attend New Board Member Boot Camp
  • Immediately following Part I, boot camp attendees will be treated to a buffet lunch in Fulton, of the SHCC from 11:45 am-12:45 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 – continental breakfast, general session with Keynote Speaker Dennis McIntee, Awards Luncheon, refreshments in the Exhibit Hall, and all breakout sessions.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 – breakfast buffet, opening breakfast session, and general sessions with key government officials.
  • The registration is $395 per member through November 27. After that date, the fee is $420.
  • Members can earn up to 15 hours of boardsmanship credit.


6.  Non-member Package/All-Inclusive NM

  • Only package option available for non-members
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 – choose two of four Wednesday Workshops offerings (morning and afternoon sessions), includes a buffet lunch between sessions.
  • Thursday, Dec. 12 – continental breakfast, general session with Keynote Speaker Dennis McIntee, Awards Luncheon, refreshments in the Exhibit Hall, and all breakout sessions.
  • Friday, Dec. 13 – breakfast buffet, opening breakfast session, and general sessions with key government officials.
  • The registration fee for non-members is $495 per person through November 27. After that date, the fee is $520.
  • Attendees can earn up to 15 hours of credit.


* Requests for cancellations must be in writing to 
kivy@arsba.org. Cancellation requests received through Dec. 4, 2019 will be refunded at 100 percent. Cancellation requests received after Dec. 4 will be refunded at 50 percent. There will be no refunds for cancellations after Dec. 10, 2019.
