Registration is open for the 2017 Southern Region Leadership Conference, a conference for school board members, superintendents, and educational leaders from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. This is an opportunity to hear experts cover such leadership issues as data device decision making strategies for raising student achievement and how board and superintendents work together to carry their school district to the next level. Conference participants will also have opportunities to review and discuss “best practices” from boards and superintendents that have created successful schools, as well as to hear a panel of experts explain hot topic issues from the three states.

  Monday’s Keynote entitled LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH & LEAD will be given by Kim Hodous. Kim’s message about life and leadership will be motivating, informative, and fun!


TRAINING HOURS: School board members can earn up to eleven hours of boardsmanship training credit (nine hours without the Early Bird).

Registration is $310 per person (Spouses and Guests - $95) through Friday, July 14, 2017. A separate registration fee of $105 covers the cost of each Early Bird Workshop.

•  Online registration will close July 14, 2017 at noon. On-site registration will be available from Noon-6 p.m. Sunday, July 16; and 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, July 17; at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The on-site registration fee for NSBA staff and other SBA staff is $330. A check or credit card payment is required for on-site registration.


  Requests for cancellation must be in writing to kivy@arsba.org. Cancellation requests received through Friday, June 30, 2017, will be refunded at 100 percent. Cancellation requests received after June 30, 2017, will be refunded at 50 percent. There will be no refunds for cancellations after July 12, 2017.
