The ever-changing terrain of school-related law requires school boards to stay up-to-date on how state and federal laws affect public education. From legal procedures, policies, and regulations to new legislation aimed at boosting student achievement, understanding the legal implications of decisions made at the board table is essential to board service.

Join AASB virtually for our popular Summer Law Clinic on Thursday, June 17 from 1-5 p.m. This session will feature school board attorneys and experts who will provide guidance on a variety of legal issues facing Alabama's school boards.

• Cost: $150, member

• Training Credit: Board members will receive 3.5 hours of credit in the AASB School Board Member Academy and satisfy a core course requirement. Hours will also be applied toward the state training requirement.
